Who I Am

I was born in France from Chinese parents who had emigrated from Laos to flee war. I grew up as an overachieving student, who would best enjoy her free time by reading books and playing the piano. I graduated from two engineering schools, immediately joined attractive employers and discovered I could not maintain my level of engagement for more than two years.

I had worked for an oil and gas multinational, for a boutique strategy consulting firm, and for a technology start-up. Each time, and despite the very different corporate environments, it seemed impossible for me to feel any alignment between corporate values and the organizational dysfunctions and inertia I was experiencing. These situations triggered unsustainable levels of stress and a strong feeling of purposelessness. I worked through these experiences with a large amount of individual therapy and coaching, as well as personal growth trainings, workshops and personal work.

Little by little, I became able to channel my energy into topics that mattered to me: empowerment, diversity & inclusion and leadership development at every role. I led multiple initiatives both within my former company and in community organizations.

Since 2017, I have accompanied more than 30 young professionals into developing their leadership by using the Adaptive Leadership framework taught at Harvard Kennedy School. I fell in love with creating communities and facilitating group learning... so I decided to take it a step further and quit my job.

In 2019, I followed the International Mozaik coaching training programme, joined the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and started a certification process for the ACC level. In this regard, I have my mentor coach and regularly work with my peers, taking part in ICF Peer Coaching Rounds and learning from various sources for coaching (Co-Active, Systemic, Narrative Approach, Adaptive Leadership, AT).

Currently, I am also being coached by a renowned (CPCC, PCC) coach, as a way to progress sustainably towards fulfillment and balance, while experiencing Co-Active coaching at a master-level.

Here is for my story.
